What You'll Need
Ensure all supplies are ready before starting. Never substitute bacteriostatic water with regular water.
Peptide Vial
Your lyophilised (freeze-dried) retatrutide powder. Check for damage or discolouration before use.
Bacteriostatic Water
0.9% benzyl alcohol preserved sterile water. Not plain sterile water — much shorter shelf life once opened.
Insulin Syringes
28–31 gauge, 0.5 mL or 1 mL. Fine gauge minimises stopper damage and allows precise measurement.
Alcohol Swabs
70% isopropyl alcohol swabs to sterilise vial stoppers before every needle insertion.
Refrigerator
2–8 °C refrigeration required for reconstituted peptide. Do not freeze the solution.
Sharps Container
For safe disposal of used needles. Never recap or dispose of needles in regular waste.
How to Reconstitute
Work on a clean, flat surface. Wash your hands thoroughly before starting.
Wash Your Hands
Thoroughly wash with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Dry completely with a clean towel. This is the single most important step to prevent contamination.
Swab the Vial Tops
Use a fresh alcohol swab to clean the rubber stopper of both vials. Allow to air dry for 10–15 seconds.
Draw Your Bacteriostatic Water
Insert the syringe into the bacteriostatic water vial and withdraw your chosen volume. Hold the inverted vial at eye level to read accurately.
Add Water to the Peptide Vial — Slowly
Angle the syringe so water runs gently down the side wall of the vial — never shoot it directly onto the powder.
Gently Swirl — Do Not Shake
Roll the vial gently between your palms until the powder fully dissolves into a clear, colourless solution (30–60 seconds).
Inspect the Solution
The solution should be completely clear with no particles, cloudiness, or unusual colour. If any abnormalities are present, do not use.
Label & Refrigerate
Write today's date on the vial. Store immediately at 2–8 °C. Do not freeze. Your peptide is now ready to use.
Common Reconstitution Ratios
Choose your water volume based on vial size. More water = more dilute solution and larger draw volumes per dose.
| Vial Size | BAC Water | Concentration | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 mg | 1 mL | 5,000 mcg/mL | Common |
| 5 mg | 2 mL | 2,500 mcg/mL | Easier for small doses |
| 10 mg | 1 mL | 10,000 mcg/mL | Very concentrated |
| 10 mg | 2 mL | 5,000 mcg/mL | Common |
| 10 mg | 5 mL | 2,000 mcg/mL | Largest draw volumes |
Storing Your Peptide
Proper storage is essential to maintain potency. Temperature and light are your main concerns.
Lyophilised (Dry)
Sealed, unmixed powder. Cool, dark, dry place.
Up to 24 monthsReconstituted
After mixing — refrigerate at 2–8 °C. Do not freeze.
28–30 daysRoom Temperature
Mixed solution at room temp loses potency rapidly.
Avoid entirelyLight Exposure
UV light degrades peptides. Keep vials in their box.
